Eilu v’eilu divrei Elohim Chaim: These and these are the words of the Living God
-Babylonian Talmud, Eruvin, 13 B
Each Shabbat morning we focus on that week’s Torah portion. In thoughtful and often lively discussions, participants engage in give-and-take in which multiple viewpoints are appreciated and respected.
When studying Torah, we seek to understand it in the context of the times it was “written” or “given.” We also look to understand how it is relevant to our lives today. Participants have a wide range of knowledge from just a little to more than the rabbi.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join Rabbi Valerie and the Torah Study regulars for bagels and study. No prior experience necessary! Torah Study is held in the Social Hall unless otherwise noted.”
Torah Study is held on Saturday mornings at 10:30am unless otherwise noted on the calendar.
