Building Use
🏛 Temple Emanuel Sinai: Building Use Guidelines
Our building is a wonderful gathering place for our community — for worship, life cycle events, congregational programs, community-wide events, meetings, and fellowship.
To protect our space and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all, we ask that everyone follow Temple policies when using the building. Below are key guidelines related to space use and access management.

🔐 Door Access & Security
The building remains locked at all times unless you’ve made prior arrangements for the doors to be unlocked during your event. If doors are unlocked, a greeter must be present to monitor the entrance.
If your event is authorized and scheduled, you may gain access in one of the following ways:
-
Borrow a temporary key or fob from the office
-
Committee chairs may be issued a permanent fob
-
Use a Mobile Pass (smartphone app)
-
A temporary alarm code will be issued so you can disarm/re-arm the alarm
🚪 Entry Instructions
Upon Arrival:
-
Door Access: Flash your fob or tap your Mobile Pass app on the exterior sensor. The right door will unlock (red light changes to green).
-
Alarm Disarm: Enter your code at the alarm panel to the right of the main entrance. If you hear a beeping sound, enter your code to stop it. If there’s no beeping, the alarm is already disarmed.
-
Welcoming Attendees: Assign a greeter to monitor the door unless you’ve arranged for it to be unlocked. Do not use the crash bar to prop open the door.
We also have a tablet and remote doorbell system:
-
You can view who is at the door on the tablet
-
Use the remote clicker to unlock the door after verifying the person’s identity
