Temple Emanuel Sinai, embracing our rich heritage and rejoicing in change, strives to create a vibrant Reform Jewish congregation for Central Massachusetts. As an inclusive community, we seek the wisdom and guidance of Torah and offer a comforting foundation of belonging and support. United in sacred space and time, we pursue innovative and creative lifelong learning opportunities, joyful worship experiences, and social and environmental justice.
The global spread of COVID-19 is of great concern both across the nation and within Massachusetts. The TES leadership is closely following the updates and recommendations put forth by the US Centers for Disease Control as well as the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. After much discussion, and with input from medical professionals and an opinion from the URJ, temple leadership has decided that the building will remain closed for the foreseeable future. We will be developing a plan to slowly regain the use of the building. We will be asking the clergy, various committees, and the staff to work together to develop policies to ensure a safe environment for all, as we make decisions regarding how and when to reopen. Leadership is united in the belief that it is not yet safe for us to do so. All services, meetings and education will be held online until we can safely reopen the building. Our clergy and staff are working remotely. They are available by phone or email.
